Ever wanted to get a selfie with Megan Thee Stallion? Now is the best chance. On Saturday, May 20, Madame Tussauds unveiled two wax figures of the rapper from Houston, one in Las Vegas and the other in the museum's New York location, according to a Madame Tussauds news release.
The figure in Vegas donned a newspaper print catsuit complete with matching cowboy hat and topped off with fingerless gloves. The look was one inspired by the singer's promotional photoshoot for the album Good News.
Her likeness in New York embodied a look reminiscent of those seen in a recent brand partnership. The artist is clad in a western-style metallic bikini accessorized with matching cowboy hat, wrist cuffs, and a choker necklace.
"Look at those hotties! My wax twins are looking hotter and badder than ever," Megan Thee Stallion said. "Thank you Madame Tussauds for the honor!"
It took a team of 20 artists six months to bring the wax figures to almost life. They captured her likeness using more than 200 measurements, and her eyes, hair, and skin were matched from samples. Ten layers of oil-based paints were used to create the rapper's skin tone and in each look her hair was styled with real human hair, according to the museum.
"We couldn't have hoped for more 'Good News' than the addition of not one but two Megan Thee Stallion wax figures into our Las Vegas and New York attractions," said Madame Tussauds Head of Marketing Matthew Clarkson. "Everybody here at Madame Tussauds loves her music, confidence, style and star power which serves as an inspiration to so many."
Visitors can catch Megan Thee Stallion's Las Vegas wax figure on display starting May 20, and the one in New York beginning May 29.
